Streeters complete double swoop

Alex Marsh (left) and Harry Connor (right) become the latest to join the club...

Pre-season is well and truly underway. The Streeters have not only had two friendlies, but they have brought in new faces as well.

Harry Connor and Alex Marsh have put pen to paper on deals that will see them join the squad in time for the new season. Fans will have had chance to see both in action on Tuesday night when KSB faced St John's Baxenden in a friendly.

Neither player is totally unfamiliar to the club. Harry Connor is the younger brother of Josh Connor who played for the club last season. Connor is a left-back who has been brought in to strengthen the defence. He came through the friendly and showed his quality on the ball, as well as in the tackle.

Alex Marsh has finally signed after rumours stretching back to the end of last season. Having been spotted at the SLS on a few occasions, fans won't have been surprised to hear of his capture. Marsh is a strong addition to the Streeters midfield and offers an aerial threat in the box. He has already played with Phil Argile, Dave Davies and Danny Holloway in the youth ranks at Rossendale.

New managers Math Pickup and Brett Aspden are pleased with the signings, and will now begin fighting over them. More signings are expected to be announced before the season starts.
