The SMCCFL held their AGM last week and here’s what happened…

League Chairman Michael Bull made few changes to the SMCCFL rules, other than limiting the number of substitutes to 5, but with rolling subs still allowed. A yellow card for dissent will still lead to a one–game suspension and 3 bookings for other offences will also yield a one–game ban.

The Cup draw was made and our teams face the following ties – to be played on the 21st October:-

Westwood v KSB

Central v KSB United

The club also announced that training would resume Monday 10th July at Haslingden Sports Centre for 4 weeks before moving to Fearns.

Director of Football Math Pickup urges people to try and pay off their debt before the start of the season or as soon as possible. Subs will remain at £25 for the season and £15 for students or those out of employment.

The club has renewed its deal with North Street Indian restaurant and will again have socials there in the Autumn and February. In addition to these there will be the regular Christmas social and End of Season Awards Night.
